Photography, well in my case taking pictures, has been an outlet for me over the last few years since I got my D70. I get to go to a lot of places and see amazing things that I feel like I have been able to appreciate more because of the photographs I take. Plus, there are moments I have been able to catch and share from my home as my roommates continue their lifelong battle to find a comfortable place to sleep.

Finding provided another outlet for me. I love being able to exchange ideas, get ideas to improve my pictures, build friendships and watch those friends and their work evolve and grow. In a busy week like this last one, which often saw me under the blanket in the fetal position, twitching away, I valued being able to have coffee and what food I could stomach while logging onto deviantArt.

This week I think it is important for me to feature creatures and creativity. The sum total of my artistic ability (music/dance/art/photo) equals pushing a button on a camera. I know even less about traditional art than I do about women’s shoes and accessories. But, being a simpleton, I know what catches my eye and looks interesting. I hope you agree and can visit the galleries these works come from.

First of all, while 100+ views and 17 ’s would make me happy, this photo deserves so much more. Probably one of the cutest cat pictures I have ever seen and it has great colors, light & composition:



Also, ~emeraulde did a wonderful job taking a texture from my gallery and using it in a digital art deviation. Can you find an elephant hiding in this?
